The two founders, Tom Hensing and Leon Wendt, meet in their favorite rooftop bar. As is often the case, the two friends share the same visions, values and goals when it comes to starting a company and the desire to become self-employed. Over the course of the evening, Leon, from his many years of experience as a gymnast, tells Tom about the problem of a lack of a modern and innovative online shop/brand for gymnasts. The idea of Pure Gymnastics was born, with the aim of becoming "the" platform for gymnastics and supporting gymnasts in their passion. The two founders are immediately enthusiastic and start developing the idea further that same evening!
First Steps / Partner Acquisition
After extensive research, drawing up a business plan, analyzing the market and having thorough discussions about the future of Pure Gymnastics, we started selecting partners based on quality, innovation and, above all, ensuring that they offer real added value for gymnasts. We selected our partner companies based on these criteria. We can proudly say that we fully support the companies that cooperate with us and are very grateful for the cooperation, as we believe that together we can be an asset to gymnastics.
First Samples
A huge step for the two founders. For the very first time, they held clothes they had designed themselves with the logo and name of their company, which was just getting started. The first marketing measures could thus be taken and the name Pure Gymnastics could be presented to the outside world.
Landing page
A first landing page, which was intended to give an idea of the "final" website, went live. This made it possible to present ourselves to other partner companies and win them over.
Media Shooting 2022
The time had come: for the first time, the clothing was worn and tested by people other than the founders. Valuable feedback was collected and, more importantly, thanks to the combined efforts of a team of almost 20 friends, athletes, models, photographers, videographers and organizers, valuable content was produced that the founders could use for their entire online presence. A complete success!
Founding of Pure Gymnastics UG (limited liability)
Within 3 months, the founders had made it from the idea to the official, notarized founding. A milestone for both founders and one that would open many doors. Now Pure Gymnastics was no longer just an idea, but an officially registered company!
